Boating Tips by the "Outdoor Scene" Sea Sickness !

A few tips to help with a possible Sea Sickness

1 - Do not sit facing backwards from the direction of travel.

2-  Avoid excessive Alcohol consumption, Foods or Liquids that make you feel full before and during travel.

3 - If you sit and worry about getting seasick, it's probably going to happen

4- Try Sipping Coke-Cola or Pepsi. These type of drinks contain Phosphoric Acid, which is an ingredient in Emetrol, a drug to control vomiting. Or eat Saltine Crackers, because they will absorb excess acidity very well.

5-Stay on Deck and concentrate on a far away place like a horizon or a island or even another Vessel.

6- Try treating Sea Sickness before you depart, especially if you have been prone to the problem in the past. Wristband form or pill or even consult you're doctor for a prescription of a Transderm Scop Patch

7- Never sit in front of the exhaust from the engines, especially a Diesel !
