the Banquet for the Federation of Rhode Island Sportsman Clubs at the Prata Club in Cranston, R.I.. I started a relationship on outdoor issues this past year with President Nick Grasso and a few weeks back he said he would be honored if I would be the guest speaker at the annual banquet. I accepted and had a blast explaining our visions and mission on the "Outdoor Scene" RADIO program in New England. I covered legislation and future issues that will be coming up soon. Ralph's Catering was excellent and I made a lot of new friends. Try Carp fishing with Marshmallow and Maise you could be surprised with a 30lb. fresh water fish ! Freshen up with new fishing line and please use circle hooks to eliminate a injury. If you are going to fill a void and try for one of the big carp remember, ( NO) lip lock tool or lifting from their delicate gill plates which may be fatal. Use the Carp nets that will save the fish for another fisher.

Black Bear sightings are on the rise in Connecticut and Rhode Island and with a mild winter and no hunting season in either State the sightings will increase. Do not attract them to your property is the best defense.
