The Quabbin Fishing Season will open on Saturday,April 12, 2014 till October 11, 2014 for shore fishing. Because of this years thick ice conditions the boat launch areas will be delayed at least a week or two. A decision will be made on the boat ramp area on or about April 11, 2014. We are looking at a April 19th date right now. Most of the access points and tributaries within Rt.202, 122, and 32a, and to the Quabbin shorelines that are designated for a walk in basis for fishing beginning at 5:15 am on April 12, 2014.
The Quabbin Reservoir, is the principle drinking water supply for 2.2 million Massachusetts residents. Since 1946, shore line fishing has been allowed at the awesome Reservoir. Since about 1952 a limited boat ramp fishing area has been in existence for our recreational needs.
Please help to preserve all of our fishing privileges and protect the Quabbin resources by following all the rules and regulations while in the area.
All watercraft private boats that launch on the Reservoir must now have an intact Quabbin Boat Seal that certifies the watercraft has gone through a DCR approved decontamination process.

Boat Ramp hours are from 6:00 am until closing seven days a week. April ? till May 5till 8:00 pm
From May 6 till August 4 at 8:030 pm. From Aug. 5 till Aug. 25 at 8:00 pm
From Aug. 26 till Sept. 8 at 7:00 pm and at 6:30 pm for the rest of the open fishing season.
Shore Fishing is open 7 days a week and all persons over 15 years must have a valid Massachusetts Fishing Sportsman License or a Quabbin Fishing License. One day Quabbin Fishing License are available for purchase at the Boat Ramp and on the Department of Fish and Game web-site for $5.00
