Fall Outdoor Adventure Talks – Deer Hunting and More: Sept. 16 – Oct. 21, 2015

CONCORD, N.H. – Get primed for deer hunting and more at a series of outdoor adventure talks being offered on Wednesday evenings this fall at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H.  The talks begin at 7 p.m.  Admission is free.  No pre-registration is required. Featured topics include:

 

September 16, 2015: Calling All Whitetails/Archery Season Tactics – With more than 35 years of experience pursuing whitetails, Dean Vanier shares tactics for success during the archery deer season. Learn how to use calls and scent to bring deer within archery range.

 

October 7, 2015:  Deer Hunting Basics – Hunter Education Instructor Dave Priebe presents need-to-know information for getting started in deer hunting. This session is ideal for new and apprentice hunters.

 

October 14, 2015: Hunting Dominant Bucks – Hunter Education Instructor Dave Priebe provides in-depth information on the rut – phases of male whitetail deer breeding and behavior. You’ll come away with key knowledge of deer biology that will help increase your odds of locating and harvesting a dominant whitetail buck this fall. This talk is a highly recommended for both new and seasoned hunters.

 

October 21, 2015: Fish and Game for the Past 150 Years – Author Jack Noon explores what fish and wildlife resources were originally in New Hampshire, how they were lost, and the agency that restored some, like the wild turkey, to abundance today.  Enjoy a look into a century and a half of N.H. Fish and Game Department history, through the eyes of a well-known New Hampshire historian and fisheries volunteer.
